i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky;and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes
(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday;this is the birth
day of life and love and wings:and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)
how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any-lifted from the no
of all nothing-human merely being
doubt unimaginably You?
(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)
(eecummings)
My ability to set education is many moments and experiences are not easily grown. So I am grateful for people like EE Cummings and the fact that Neil Gaiman has posted this poem a few days ago on his blog . Cummings somehow finds words for the moment I am just overwhelmed at the beach, framed by dark rock in front of sea and sky. And all the other happy and elusive moments of a journey.
These dark rocks on the coasts of Oregon and California were really one of the most remarkable things I saw on our trip. Somehow, something was in their existence is always-there-been. That's what I had to think when I this incredibly interesting report on NPR "MY GRANDSON THE ROCK" on the relationship of rock, minerals, and our human existence molecular heard.
