I have just heard in the recent ASC show the wonderful song from the new Shell Games Bright Eyes record. (Guess what? Schmynthesizer synthesizer sounds are to hear.)
I'M WIDE AWAKE IT'S MORNING was, together with the Royal Tennenbaum's album of the most played most songs in the months during and after my graduation. I think the pleasantly comforting melancholy in the songs was the right soundtrack for a time of farewell and of change.
I think I like the bold version with trumpet, voice, and a second band but rather it is the only professional live recording of the song that I could find on youtube. stirred
The video for FIRST DAY OF MY LIFE I just still every time I see it to tears. Therefore it must be posted here yet.
